Zaatar lover - this one’s for you!
A bread that is the best vehicle to any dips or that can be enjoyed on its own because it’s that good!!

Dough:
2 cups flour
1 tsp yeast
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp olive oil
3/4 cup warm water
Za’atar oil:
1/4 cup fresh za’atar
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
DIRECTIONS:
In the bowl of an electric stand mixer, fitted with a hook, combine all the ingredients. Make sure not to place the salt directly over the yeast.
Let the dough knead in the mixer for about 5 minutes. The dough should be soft and slightly sticky.
Transfer the dough to a clean working surface. Knead for another 30 seconds then transfer to a bowl covered with a towel and let it rest in a warm area until it doubles in size.
Once doubled, preheat oven to 475 F with an upside down baking sheet in the oven.
Separate the dough in 3 equal parts. Gently pull one dough ball in a circle then place the circle on a surface and roll out using a rolling pin.
Repeat for all 3 dough balls and place them on a parchment paper.
Mix your za’atar oil together and separate it equally between your 3 flatbread. Spread it all over the dough.
Take out the baking sheet from the preheated oven and transfer the parchment paper on it. Return to the oven and bake for 9-10 minutes.
