The chicken dish that comes together in just a few minutes and that’s loved by everyone.
The flavors of Moroccan cuisine are definitely my favorite and I could never get enough of this combination of ingredients.
It’s soft, juicy and so tender that you will lick your fingers clean!

1 onion, sliced
1 tbsp oil
6 whole chicken legs
1 head of garlic, peeled
1 lemon, juiced
1 pepper, sliced
1 cup cilantro, chopped
1/4 cup oil
1.5 tbsp paprika
1 tsp turmeric
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 cup water or chicken stock
DIRECTIONS:
Preheat oven to 350 F.
Start by heating a small pan to medium high heat. Add a tbsp of oil and fry the onion. Once fried remove from heat.
Place chicken in a baking dish. Top with fried onion, garlic cloves in between the chicken legs, pepper slices and lemon juice. Top with chopped cilantro.
Make a mixture of oil and spices in a small bowl. Mix and brush all over the chicken. Massage the chicken under the skin to get the flesh to be flavored.
Add water to oil dish and pour all over chicken. Cover and bake for 1 hour. Uncover and bake for an additional 30 minutes until golden.
