Hot Honey Feta Phyllo Bites

The ultimate Shavuot crunch.


It’s spicy, it’s sweet, it’s crunchy. It’s just everything you didn’t know you needed.



feta


  • 3 phyllo sheet

  • 1/2 stick butter, melted

  • Feta cheese, cut in sticks (I like @tnuvausa )

  • 5 tbsp honey, divided

  • Crushed red pepper flakes

  • Salt

  • Pepper

  • Sesame seeds

  • Chopped dill, to garnish



DIRECTIONS:


  1. Preheat oven to 375F. Grease a muffin pan with nonstick spray.

  2. Layer 3 phyllo sheets with melted butter brushed in between each layer.

  3. Place a log of sticks of feta at the end side of the sheets. Top with 4 tbsp honey, crushed red pepper flakes, salt and pepper.

  4. Roll the log in the phyllo sheets then slice 12 equal sized pieces. Place each piece in muffin tin (or use a regular baking sheet lined with parchment paper).

  5. Top with sesame seeds and bake for 13-15 minutes, or until golden.

  6. Before serving, drizzle remaining tablespoon of honey and chopped dill.
