Creamy Salmon Fettuccine

A killer pasta recipe for your Shavuot menus💥


salmon pasta



(4-5 servings)


  • 2 large slices salmon

  • 1 sweet potato, peeled and cubed small

  • Salt

  • Pepper

  • Olive oil

  • Lemon juice

  • 400g Fettuccine pasta

  • Pinch of Nutmeg

  • Pinch of Crushed red pepper flakes



DIRECTIONS:


1. Preheat oven to 400F. Line 2 small baking sheets with parchment paper.

2. Please your sweet potato cubes on one baking sheet, and the salmon pieces on the other one. Season with salt, pepper and a drizzle of olive oil. Squeeze some lemon on the salmon only.

3. Bake both for 20 minutes uncovered.

4. Simultaneously, boil your pasta, according to package direction.

5. Once ready to serve, prepare your béchamel (details below) and toss your pasta in it. Salt to taste.

6. Top with nutmeg and crushed red pepper flakes.

7. Add sweet potato cubes and flaked salmon on top.

8. Serve immediately.



Béchamel:


  • 4 tbsp butter (or non dairy substitute)

  • 4 tbsp flour

  • 500ml milk (or oat milk)


Start by melting butter with flour in a pan. Mix using a wooden spoon until creating a “roux”. Add your milk slowly while whisking continuously to avoid lumps. Once the milk starts to heat up, the mixture will slowly thicken. Once it’s thick removed from heat.
