A recipe dedicated to all the kids out there!

We grew up, looking forward to Shavuot only to be able to get ice cream at synagogue. In many communities it’s customary to eat dairy on this holiday so giving out dairy ice cream to kids just fit perfectly with the tradition.

I wanted to create an ice cream pop as a throwback to my childhood memories, memories that I cherish, and hope my kids can experience and feel as well!

cannoli pop

  • 1 box cannolis (18 units)

  • 16 oz whipping cream

  • 250g gvina levana

  • 300g baking chocolate

  • 1 tbsp coconut oil

  • Sprinkles

  • Pop sticks

DIRECTIONS:

1. Start by whipping your whipped cream until stiff peaks. Fold in gvina levana.

2. Transfer cream to a piping bag. Pipe cream inside cannolis. Don’t fill until the top.

3. Place one cannoli on top of the other and insert the stick. Freeze. (You can also not stack them and keep them small. Just get the right size sticks.)

4. Melt chocolate and coconut oil over a double boiler. Gently cover the cannoli pop with melted chocolate using a spoon. Place as little or as much sprinkles as you want. Return to the freezer.
